Daily Alert Offline Step Counter

This Privacy Policy explains how iSoftX ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Daily Alert mobile application (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The short version: Daily Alert is an offline app. Your step data and settings are stored only on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information with anyone.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

The App does not require you to create an account or submit personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number.

b) Information collected automatically

The App records the following data locally on your device to provide its features:

Step count and activity data — collected via the device's built-in step sensor / activity recognition so the App can display your daily steps and statistics.
Optional location data — if you grant location permission, coarse/fine location may be used to enhance features. This data is not uploaded.
App settings & preferences — such as goals, themes, and notification preferences.

All of the above remains on your device's local storage and is never transmitted to our servers.

c) Permissions used

Permission	Why we need it
Activity Recognition	To count your steps using the device sensor.
Foreground Service (Health)	To keep step tracking running reliably in the background.
Notifications	To send you daily progress and goal alerts.
Vibrate	For notification feedback.
Receive Boot Completed	To restart tracking after device reboot.
Wake Lock	To prevent the device from stopping tracking during sleep.
Location (Coarse/Fine)	Optional — used only if you enable location-based features.
Internet	Required only for technical/SDK stability; no personal data is sent.

2. How We Use Information

Information stored on your device is used solely to:

Display your step count, history, and statistics;
Show notifications and reminders;
Improve the App's functionality and user experience.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your mobile device using the device's secure local storage. Because your data never leaves your device, there is no server-side storage that could be compromised. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with any third party. The App does not contain third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs that transmit personal data.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

Clear app data or cache from your device settings;
Revoke any permission at any time from your device settings;
Uninstall the App to permanently remove all stored data.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
