Your data never leaves your device
EMI Loan Tracker is a fully offline app. It collects no personal information, makes no network requests, and shares nothing with any server or third party — ever.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how EMI Loan Tracker ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to work entirely offline, and by design it cannot transmit any data to us or to any third party.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Financial account details or bank credentials
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Cookies or tracking technologies
3. Data You Enter — Stored Locally Only
When you use the App you may enter loan details such as loan names, principal amounts, interest rates, tenure, and payment records. This data is:
- Stored only in a local SQLite database on your device
- Never transmitted over the internet
- Never shared with us or any third party
- Completely deleted when you uninstall the App or use "Clear All Data" in Settings
Your preferences (theme, currency) are stored in the device's local AsyncStorage and are likewise never transmitted anywhere.
4. Local Notifications
The App may send you local push notifications to remind you of upcoming EMI due dates. These notifications are:
- Scheduled entirely on your device using Android's local alarm system
- Not connected to any push notification server or external service
- Not used to send you marketing or promotional content
- Fully controllable — disable them anytime in Settings or your device's notification settings
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media SDKs. There are no trackers of any kind.
The App does not use the internet at all — there is no network traffic to or from the App.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the App collects no personal data from anyone, this is inherently ensured by design.
7. Data Security
All loan data is stored in a local SQLite database protected by your device's built-in security (file-system isolation, screen lock, etc.). Since no data is transmitted over any network, there is no risk of interception in transit.
We recommend keeping your device's screen lock enabled and keeping your operating system up to date to protect locally stored data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Effective" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Android Permissions
The App requests only the permissions necessary for core functionality:
