Basic Fitness Tracker is a fully offline app. We do not collect any personal information, usage data, or analytics of any kind.

The only data the App stores is:

Step count — number of steps you walk each day
Fitness stats — calories burned, distance, active minutes derived from your steps
Your preferences — step goal, weight, stride length, notification settings, and name (optional)

All of this data is stored locally on your device only using your phone's storage. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud, or third party.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information
We do not access your location, camera, microphone, or contacts
We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
We do not share any data with third parties
We do not require you to create an account or sign in
We do not use cookies or web tracking

📱 Device Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

Permission	Purpose
Activity Recognition `ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION`	Required to access your phone's motion sensor for counting steps. No activity data is sent anywhere.
Post Notifications `POST_NOTIFICATIONS`	Used only to send optional daily step reminders on your device. Notifications never leave your phone.
Receive Boot Completed `RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED`	Allows the App to reschedule local reminder notifications after your phone restarts.

You can revoke any permission at any time from your device's Settings → Apps → Basic Fitness Tracker → Permissions.

👶 Children's Privacy

Basic Fitness Tracker does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, please contact us at the email below.

🔄 Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time:

Inside the App: go to Settings → Clear All Data
Or uninstall the App — all data is permanently removed

There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
